Teenage Cancer Trust

Every day in the UK six young people are told they have cancer. At a time when your body is changing, your social life is everything and you’re still trying to figure out who you are, getting cancer can seem like an impossible blow to take. But thanks to Teenage Cancer Trust, thousands of teenagers are taking it, and coming out fighting.

By building specialist units in NHS hospitals, Teenage Cancer Trust provides the best possible care and professional support for young people with cancer and their families throughout their cancer journey.

As well as our units we fund a number of different services, all with the same goal – to help young people fight cancer. Part of this is our education and awareness programme which includes Shunburn. Our education team gives talks in schools, colleges, universities and clubs across the UK to let young people know about cancer, prevention and healthy living, empowering them to take control of their own health.
